Tuition includes professional crews, models, studio/location, lighting and grip equipment. Breakfast included on shoot days. Does not include hotel (ask us for recommendations) or airfare. We accept credit cards; 10% discount for students who have completed a program with us before. An additional $100 refundable security deposit is required for equipment usage.

DESCRIPTION: This advanced "creative burst" program is taught in the real world of fashion and beauty editorial photography, designed to help build portfolios on a competitive level and develop an understanding of the "inside codes" of the industry. Providing authentic, professional production teams (makeup, hair, wardrobe stylists, models...), this short version of our immersion program is about the do's-and-don'ts of shooting fashion and beauty, in the tradition of successful fashion magazines - and creating photos that can compete at a higher level than self-produced photography.

You will shoot two story assignments - one fashion and one beauty - with our award-winning veteran fashion photographer, Steven Silverstein, providing creative direction and feedback. Students shoot models, one-on-one, and learn first-hand lighting, angles, lenses, framing, how to work with your subjects, and background on hair/makeup/styling. In addition, the program includes editing to learn mistakes and successes, plus a question and answer session about the business of fashion & beauty photography. ELIGIBILITY: Acceptance into this program includes a portfolio review of your current images. We do not require you to have fashion photos but you should have an "eye" for fashion and be at an intermediate to advanced shooting level. This review is waived for students who have previously completed one of our programs. Please read our program policies for additional information.
